Are you planning your weight loss journey? Do you know how to plan your weight loss journey?
This article will give you the tools and skills to plan your success.
There is an old saying;
"If you don't know where you're going, all roads lead to (nowhere!)"
I talk to a lot of people who want to cut down on waiting and the first thing I ask them is, "How much weight do you want to lose?"
The typical answer I get is something like this;
"Oh, I don't know, I'm just getting rid of my extra weight"
either
"I'm just trying to lose a little"
In fact I estimate that 95% of the people I talk to don't know exactly how much weight they want to lose! When you combine this with the fact that 95% of people who want to lose weight never succeed, you start to see a bigger picture.
I would also say that a huge number of those people don't even know how much they weigh, how can you know you are going to be successful if you don't know where you started and where you want to go?
The simple answer is you can't!
The title of this article is "The Roadmap to Success," so let me carry on with that metaphor.
If you're going on a trip and need to visit a specific place you've never been to before, would you just walk away and hope for the best? No, of course you won't.
You would like to know where you are departing from, how far away, what is the route, do you need to stop on the way, do you need a car or a boat, do you need to catch a plane, what time do you need to go, how long will it take you, etc.
You can use an atlas or print out a map from the Internet, you can call the place you are going to give you directions or ask someone who has been there before. Ho.
can you hear what i'm saying? Do you see where I am going with this?
If you can plan the trip with so much detail so that you get to where you want to be, what is stopping you from planning your 'weight loss journey' like this and get yourself there? Giving you the best chance of where you want to be?
The answer may be that you don't really know where to begin; Well I am here to help you.
Below is a 7-point guide to planning your "roadmap to success." Use it to make sure you give yourself the best possible chance of getting to your destination.
1. Find out where you are now! That's right, it means weighing yourself. I know that people who are overweight usually don't like to weigh themselves; I have been there and know the feeling. Trust me when I say it is an essential part of the journey. just Du It.
2. Decide on your final result! Work for yourself what weight you want to reach. You can do it however you want, make sure it's achievable and that it's a healthy weight for you. Now you know how much weight you need to lose.
3. Set a Time Limit! Consider how long it will take you to lose that much weight and set a time frame for when you want to reach your results. Make It Regainable - There's no point in losing 4 stone (56 pounds) in a week.
4. Split the time limit down! Set some small goals, for example if you have given yourself a year then break it into monthly goals to achieve.
5. Who/Who will help you? Everyone needs help, it's that simple. Maybe you need to consult an expert or buy a book or an eBook. Which friends and/or family can you count on for unwavering support? Talk to them, tell them your goal and ask them for their help and support.
6. Get started and don't stop! Sorry if this sounds simple, but I've heard a lot of people say "I'll start next week" or "I'm taking a day off right now, I'll get back to it tomorrow" It's a hard truth That you can't afford to stop all the time and there is no better time than now to start again or a 'day off' and when you are successful there is no better time to stop.
7. Finally, get ready to celebrate! One important thing that people miss out on is the celebration. Celebrating tells your nervous system that it's good and I want more of it. So celebrate in a small way when you achieve your short-term goals and plan a bigger celebration when you reach your end result. Ask yourself 'What is my ultimate reward for being successful? Then go through a whole list of things and after arriving at your final result choose the ultimate that you promise yourself to be.
So by now you should plan your journey, start now, enjoy the journey and reach your destination.
I wish you the best of luck.
